Many residents of Johnson County have questions about on-street parking in their community. Most frequently residents want to know how to change the on-street parking designation on their street. The first step towards making a change requires a request from a resident of the street. After talking with the resident requesting the change and a field investigation is done, a decision is made as to the best option for parking on the street. A survey is then put together asking the residents most directly affected whether they would or would not like to see the change. If a majority of the residents are in favor of the change, the change is recommended to the City Council of the community.
