The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County (MPOJC) is requesting public input on an amendment to the “FY2020-2023 Transportation Improvement Program” (TIP) for the Iowa City Urbanized Area. The TIP is the programming document for all surface transportation and transit projects that receive state or federal funds, including: street & highway, transit, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in the Iowa City urbanized area.
The public meeting will be held on April 1, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. in the City of North Liberty City Council Chambers, 1 Quail Creek Circle, North Liberty, Iowa.
- Amend the FY2020-2023 TIP to change a project description:
- Current project description: In the City of Iowa City, on IWV Road, from Hebl Avenue east 1.5 miles to Highway 218.
- New project description (allows for the installation of a water main between IWV Road and the Iowa City Landfill on Hebl Avenue): In the City of Iowa City, on IWV Road, from Hebl Avenue east 1.5 miles to Highway 218, and on Hebl Avenue from the Iowa City Landfill to IWV Road.
