The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County (MPOJC) will host a virtual public meeting as part of its Future Forward 2050: Connecting Communities Long Range Transportation Plan to gather input on the draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Chapter. The long-range plan is a blueprint for how and where metro area communities will invest in transportation improvements (including roads, bridges and trails) and is required in order to secure state and federal funding for transportation projects.

Anyone who lives, works, attends school or conducts business in Johnson County is invited to attend the meeting on May 19th, 2021 from 6:00-6:30 p.m. Members of the public who attend the meeting will:

  • See which bicycle and pedestrian projects your community has planned for the future and how they contribute to the transportation network.
  • Learn about the successes and challenges for pedestrians and bicyclists.
  • Find out how to provide input on the draft Bicycle and Pedestrian Chapter.
