The Metropolitan Planning Organization of Johnson County will be holding a public hearing on two amendments to the “FY2017-20 Transportation Improvement Program” (TIP) for the Iowa City Urbanized Area. The TIP is the programming document for all surface transportation and transit projects that receive state or federal funds, including: street & highway, transit, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian projects in the Iowa City urbanized area.
The public hearing will be held on March 29th, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. in the North Liberty City Council Chamber, North Liberty City Hall, 1 Quail Creek Circle, North Liberty, Iowa. Amendments include:
- Amend the FY2017-2020 TIP to include the Dubuque Street Elevation (Gateway) project in order to include $118,000 in repurposed funds to the project
- Amend the FY2017-2020 TIP to include an additional source of federal funding to the Forevergreen Road/I-380 interchange project and move all of the FY2018 project funds to FY2017
